Welcome to the Basking Shark Project
Basking Sharks are fabulous creatures in many ways. Not only are they one of only three filter feeding shark species but they are also the second largest fish in the sea - reaching a mammoth 11 metres long!

The first Basking Shark sightings of the year have come in from Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, the Isle of Man, Eire, Northern Ireland and Scotland - keep your eyes peeled for more
